Brows
Microblading, nano and powder brows, with care for normal-to-dry and oily skin.
For all permanent makeup: avoid for 2 weeks
- Touching the treated area (unless instructed)
- Getting it wet while showering or washing your face
- Sun, tanning beds and spray tans
- Heavy sweating, sports and swimming
- Saunas, hot baths and hot tubs
- Lasers, chemical peels, and Retin-A or glycolic products on the face or neck
- Picking, peeling or scratching: itching and flaking in the first week is normal
Deeper healing can take 14–21 days, so touch-ups are done after that. Once healed, protect your results with SPF 30–50. Allow at least 6–8 weeks between appointments (minimum 4).
Permanent brows
Brow aftercare
Your artist will tell you which routine fits your skin type.
Keep it light: too much ointment can lift pigment and cause the permanent makeup to come off.
What to expect
- Days 1–2: brows look about 25% bolder and darker, with slight swelling. Be patient!
- Day 3: itching begins and brows look thicker. Don't exfoliate.
- Day 4: flaking starts at the outer edges.
- Days 5–8: flaking finishes; color looks soft or dull for a few days before it clarifies.
Permanent eyeliner
Eyeliner aftercare
Day 1
Don't touch your eyes, and keep them dry: no washing. Before bed you can ice over a clean cloth (never directly on the skin). If your eyes are swollen, you may take Tylenol.
Day 2
Swelling the day after is normal, and some clients swell more than others. It should start going down during the day, and your eyes should look better by evening.
Day 3
If the skin feels very dry, wash your hands and apply a very thin layer of Aquaphor Healing Ointment. Too much can cause a reaction, so keep it light.
What to expect
- Day 1: slightly swollen, like you've been crying
- Day 2: swelling for 1–2 hours after waking
- Days 3–4: a tight feeling as the top layer lifts
- Days 5–8: final flaking and mild itch; color clarifies over a few more days
Lip blush & neutralization
Lip aftercare
Day 1
Removing lymph (clear fluid) prevents heavy scabbing. Right after your appointment, clean your lips with damp cotton and clean bottled water every 30 minutes until bedtime. Before sleep, wash off any dried lymph with lukewarm water, pat dry and apply Aquaphor Healing Ointment.
Day 2
Your lips may still be swollen. Please don't ice them. Keep the skin moist at all times and don't let your lips dry out.
Days 3–7
Keep applying ointment as needed: as soon as your lips start to feel dry, reapply.
What to expect
- Day 1: swollen and tender, with a bold lipstick look
- Day 2: slight swelling and redness
- Day 3: less swelling, with a warm orange tone before peeling
- Days 4–5: peeling begins; very chapped
- Day 6: soft color appears, often a little patchy
- Days 7–13: a frosty, whitish haze as color seems to disappear
- Days 14–21: color blooms. By day 21, what you see is your healed color. Keep using a quality lip balm.
3D areola aftercare
- Days 1–3: leave the Tegaderm dressing on. It's waterproof, so shower normally. Fluid underneath is normal. If it lifts or drips, place a new dressing over it.
- Day 4: remove the dressing and wash gently with warm water and your usual soap. Don't rub, and leave scabs alone. Pat dry and apply an unscented white lotion (Lubriderm, Aveeno or Eucerin).
- Days 5–14: apply unscented lotion at least once a day, more if the area looks dry.
